Description
The "Amulet" Hotel in Bukhara is located in the ancient building of the madrassah of Said Kamol in the center of the old city. This madrasah is named after a Bukharian merchant Mirsaid Kamol, who erected it in 1861. For many years, the building was used for its intended purpose - as a religious school, as evidenced by the inscriptions on the walls of the students' cells who spent many years here.
The hotel was opened in the madrasah after a four-year restoration. The building, in essence, has preserved its interiors - thick brick walls, wooden doors and other elements of antique decor.
All rooms are equipped with a bathroom and a shower room, in which there is hot and cold water. Furniture is handmade, in accordance with the traditions of wood carving of local Bukhara craftsmen. Wide oak beds, carved chairs and tables.
The hotel has a small library on the history and architecture of Bukhara. Tourists are invited an evening event: cooking of pilaf.
The hotel provides access to Internet, fax, and computer.
The lounge for guests is decorated according to the Bukhara tradition: around a low table, under which there is a hotbed, the "kurpachi" - quilted blankets are spread out, and cushions are laid so that guests can watch TV, receiving over two hundred local and foreign channels, sipping fragrant tea or coffee.
